BAE Systems and DEW Engineering & Development of Ottawa, Canada have signed an agreement to develop Close Combat Vehicle (CCV) which is one of the top priorities of Canadian Army. DEW has been chosen to carry out final assembly of the turret, as well as integration and test for the CV90 if the vehicle is selected for the program. DEW is a well known firm in Canada and it has done several projects for the Canadian Army that includes extensive repairs and refit work on Army’s light armoured vehicles. It has also upgraded Army’s Leopard tanks and most recently did a life extension program on Army’s M113 family of vehicles, by improving its mobility, firepower and armour to make it one of the safest vehicles in its class.
